Additional Information: The Barossa Council supports opportunities for people with a disability or who have a mental health illness and their carers living the Barossa region. This includes support for projects by and for people with a disability or a mental health illness, in addition to Council projects, events and programs. Leisure Options helps organize events and groups in order to keep you and the people you care for, active and enjoying life. See our website links for further information available: EntryProcedures Eligible people are those who are socially isolated through a disability, a mental illness or age related issues or who have reduced support from their family. Young people with a disability may have difficulties at home or at school and may need a safe environment to develop social skills. Carers are welcome to accompany the person they care for or arrange for Barossa Leisure Options to provide the support. Programs are also offerred in Light and Gawler areas.

Additional Information: Community Transport scheme was developed to assist those in the community who are transport disadvantaged, including the aged, frail and younger disabled residents without easy access to transport. Transport includes personal car service which caters for wheelchair clients and community shopping buses. The scheme owns and operates six cars, one flash cab and manages the GR Community Car, plus volunteers own vehicles.
