The South West Community Drug Service Team is a specialist team working with clients within the south west of WA to reduce the harm associated with the use of alcohol and other drugs.
The team is multidisciplinary, working closely with mental health service providers, medical and health professionals, Department of Community Development, Department of Corrective Services, other human service providers and local communities.
Our aim is to provide (free of charge) easily accessible counselling and support for individual's and their significant others and consultation, shared case management, education, training and counselling for the community of the South West.
South West Community Drug Service Team locations are:
• Bunbury- Monday to Friday
• Manjimup and Bridgetown - Monday
• Collie - Tuesday
• Busselton - Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
• Margaret River - Thursday
Services Provided:
• Counselling with individuals, families, adults, youth and children throughout the South West
• Provides information, resources, consultation and education to the community and industry
• On-going support and networking
• Advice, training and consultation to professional services
• Pharmacotherapy Program,
• Support and training to the local community to prevent and reduce drug related problems
• Shared case management
Target Groups
• Individuals in the South West region experiencing problems related to their alcohol and other drug use
• Parents and significant others who have concerns about the alcohol and other drug use of a family member
Entry Requirements
• Appointments can be made to see a counsellor by contacting the service during working hours.
• No referral is necessary and counselling is free.
