Additional Information:
Canberra Surgicentre is an accredited day hospital offering a range of oral and maxillofacial procedures. Our patients will firstly have a private consultation at either the Deakin or Braddon Canberra Oral Surgery consulting rooms where they will discuss the recommended treatment with one of our highly qualified surgeons.
If a decision is made to book you in at Canberra Surgicentre, our staff will direct to our day surgery reception where our friendly nursing staff will prepare you a written quotation and estimate of costs for your surgery. They will also assist in finding a suitable surgical date. Our nursing staff will discuss our admission procedures which will include all of the required instructions leading up to your surgery.
Procedures may be performed under local anaesthetic, IV sedation or general anaesthetic depending on individual assessment. Your surgeon will discuss these options with you at the time of consultation.
Broadly speaking, our surgical procedures fall into two main categories:
Oral Procedures:
– Wisdom Teeth
– Dental Implants
– Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders
– Apicectomies
– Arthrocentesis
