What it is used for
Topical treatment of skin infections due to common pathogenic fungi, including Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentaggrophyton (T.gypseum), Trichophyton tonsurans and Epidermophyton floccosum. Tinaderm powder is recommended for adjunctive use with Tinaderm cream or solution in fungal infections of intertriginous and other naturally moist skin areas in which drying may enhance the therapeutic response. Tinaderm powder may also be used alone in simple cases of mild infection that respond to treatment with antifungal powder and measures that promote skin hygiene. Following complete remission, Tinaderm powder alone may be contineud to maintain or reduce the risk of infection.
