All of WA

All hospitality premises can operate at full capacity — there are no capacity limits.

However:

  • Businesses require a COVID Safety Plan and must maintain a contact register — see below for detail.
  • Events with 500-2,500 patrons need to complete a COVID Event Checklist.
  • Events with more than 2,500 patrons need to complete a COVID Event Plan.

For information about restrictions in Western Australia, visit wa.gov.au. You can also call the WA Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Helpline on 13 COVID (13 26843). If you're interstate, call 1800 595 206. If you're overseas, call +61 8 9118 3100.

From 90% fully vaccinated

Once WA has reached 90% double dose vaccination for people aged 12 and over, some additional public health measures will be put in place. This is expected to happen around late January to early February 2022.

  • Face masks will be required in some high-risk indoor settings, such as public transport, hospitals and aged care facilities
  • Proof of vaccination will be required for large events with more than 1,000 people attending, and at nightclubs and casinos
  • Revised COVID Event and Safety Plans will be needed

SafeWA contact register app

The SafeWA check-in app is mandatory across most businesses, venues and events. See wa.gov.au and click on ‘SafeWA: Online contact register’ for more details.
