SERVICES • Emergency care • General care • Denture Care • Preventative Dental Care • Referral to the specialist services at the Royal Dental Hospital ELIGIBILITY • CHILDREN - All children aged between 0 -12 years are eligible for service. • TEENAGERS - Teenagers aged between 13- 17 years must have a Health Care Card or those eligible for the commonwealth dental benefits scheme. • ADULTS – Adults aged 18years plus must have a Health Care or Pension Card. FEES Fees may apply to people aged 18 years and over who are health care or pensioner concession card holders or dependants of concession card holders: • Fee of $27.00 per visit to a maximum of $108 for a general course of care, which includes an examination and all general dental treatment • Flat fee of $27.00 for an emergency course of care, which includes assessment and treatment of the tooth/gums/false teeth that is causing pain • Fees for dentures are dependent upon the type of dentures required – $65.00 per denture, capped at $130 for a full upper and lower denture Criteria for fee assessment •All children aged 0 – 12 years – free service •Young people aged 13 – 17 years who are health care or pensioner concession card holders, or dependents of concession card holders – free services •All children and young people up to 18 years of age in residential care provided by the Children Youth and Families division of the Department of Human Services- free service All youth justice clients in custodial care, up to 18 years of age – free service • free service All refugees and asylum seekers – •All aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – Mental Health clients and homeless people.
