Joy's Retreat is a secure and accessible house in Woodville with a friendly, home-like atmosphere. It provides planned, community-based respite for carers of frail older people (including those with dementia or challenging behaviour). Joy's Retreat offers centre-based day respite, overnight respite from one to four nights, emergency or unplanned respite, dementia and disability support, meals, personal care and activities provided. Young Carer Programme:

The Young Carer Program supports Young Carers, who live in the North & West metropolitan areas of Adelaide, to manage the pressures and responsibilities of their caring role. We provide young carers the opportunity to have fun, attend activities, make new friends, learn new skills, meet other Carers and most importantly to have a break. Support is provided to young carers (who provide care in a family affected by illness, disability or mental health), by providing short-term and emergency relief and respite from their caring role.

Respite Support for Carers of Young People with Severe or Profound Disability:

This program supports carers of individuals aged under 30 living with multiple or complex disabilities and carers of people under 65 with a disability who are experiencing significant stress within their caring role by providing a short term respite break. 
The program focusses on the individual needs of the carers, allowing them to exercise choice and control over the respite they receive. Education, in home or out of home respite and support to facilitate community participation can also be accessed under this program.
