Information, counselling and referral services support clients to access external agencies and organizations, counselling services. DeafBlind - Deaf / Hard of Hearing people with additional needs access mainstream community services, independent living skills traning, and  social, emotional and practical support to Deaf community members residing in aged care facilities or in their own home. This service operates after hours, on weekends and public holidays. This service is for genuine emergencies only. In the case of Police or Hospital emergencies, interpreting bookings must be made by the agency (not the Deaf person). Deaf community members can access the emergency service by using SMS, or by NRS on 13 36 77.

Deaf CanDo, Royal South Australian Deaf Society, the State's second oldest charity, provides services and programs which help to equip the Deaf community with the tools, knowledge and confidence they need to live independently while having access to the full range of community services and facilities. Autism SA provides support to individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families through the Spectrum Advisory Services. Eligibility for support is dependent on an individual being registered for services with Autism SA. Advisory services include family workshops, a mentoring program, clinical support, parent support networks, adult social support network and resource centre. Autism SA

This Adelaide office is the hub for low vision services, adaptive technology centre, employment services and volunteer services. 

The RSB provides a range of services including independent living skills, orientation and mobility training, counselling relating to sight loss, low vision daily aids and adaptive technology, volunteer assistance, low vision support groups and recreational and leisure activities to RSB clients. 

To be eligible to become an RSB client, a referral  is required from ophthalmologist for assessment at the Low Vision Centre.

The RSB is the primary source of assistance giving people with a vision impairment the opportunity to improve the quality and independence of their lives.

Royal Society for the Blind of SA Inc

The RSB is a not-for-profit organisation providing services to South Australians who have a severe vision impairment. These services are delivered by a professional, committed and highly qualified team supported by volunteers, drawn from all age groups and walks of life. The RSB has eight offices throughout South Australia, including our Head office and Knapman House in the city, three metropolitan and three regional outlets. The RSB Guide Dog Service and RSB's factory are located at Gilles Plains.

The RSB Community Education program has a team of educators who deliver presentations about common causes of vision loss and the messages around prevention, early detection and treatment, The RSB and its services, how to assist someone who is blind or vision impaired, how your workplace can improve services and its environment for people who are blind or vision impaired.
