Vision Australia supports people who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose.  Services are tailored to individual needs and can include: Low Vision Clinics; Reading, writing and information access; Moving about safely; Techniques for daily living; Emotional wellbeing programs; Recommendation, supply and use of assistive equipment and technology; Support to access recreation and leisure activities; Support to access further education and training courses; Linkages to services that provide support to obtain and maintain employment; Family-centred Children’s Services.

Very Special kids is a unique organisation that supports families throughout their experience of caring for children with life threatening illnesses.  From diagnosis through to recovery or bereavement.  Such illnesses include cancer, muscular dystrophy, n euro-degrenative and genetic conditions.

Very Special kids provides physical, emotional, social and spiritual support.  This support is offered holistically, centered on the family.  Services available to all Victorian families.  The service includes trained volunteers for support visits to hospitals, support group meetings, sibling programs, camps & activities, parent activities and Australia's first hospice for children, offering respite and end of life care.

Families must be assessed for eligibility prior to accessing services. To be eligible families must have a child who has been diagnosed with a life limiting condition.

Very Special Kids

Services for families who have a child with a life threatening condition. Support is provided from point of diagnosis through to recovery or bereavement. Services include counselling, sibling support, trained volunteers, bereavement support.  Respite care and end of life care is provided at Very Special Kids House Victoria's only children's hospice
