Barkly Shire

The Council owns a community bus that can be hired out to the public. The bus can seat 22 people, including the driver and is wheelchair friendly. Council also has a trailer that can be hired for use to carry baggage etc. but this trailer cannot be towed behind the bus because of the wheelchair access. Driver requires an appropriate drivers licence (Class AB, HB, LB or SB) which must be carried at all times.

District Council Of Streaky Bay

Streaky Bay is on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula. The overall region incorporates the smaller townships and settlements of Baird Bay, Perlubie Landing, Haslam, Eba Anchorage, Poochera, Sceale Bay and Wirrulla. Streaky Bay is the main service and business centre for this region. The Council area covers 6232 square kilometres and the population is approximately 2002.

The Council has a Toyota Coaster Bus available for hire by the public, with priority given to residents of the district. Persons from outside the district need to  apply in writing giving plenty of notice (check with office) when wishing to make bookings. The bus cost $1.25 per Km inc GST (valid to Juliy 2013) to hire, fee includes fuel. The bus seats 19 people, including the driver, and has a tow bar. This form can be downloaded, you can call into the Council office or request the form to be faxed or posted to you.

WUDINNA DISTRICT COUNCIL

The Wudinna District Council is located on central Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. It encompasses the townships of Wudinna, Minnipa, Kyancutta, Warramboo and Yaninee. Its attractions include Mount Wudinna and Pildappa Rock. The Orroroo Campus is part of the Mid North Health Services providing medical treatment, a 24-hour accident and emergency service and care after operations and births. We have a separate 21 bed aged care hostel which provides care for older people with a lower level of needs. The Booleroo Campus and Booleroo Medical Centre is part of the Mid North Health Services. Our hospital and health centre provides medical, surgical, aged care, accident and emergency, outpatient, x-ray and operating theatre services as well as a wide variety of allied health, primary health care and community health services. The Port Pirie Community Bus is available to those that are elderly or people who have a physical disability that inhibits them from using public transport. The Community Bus will collect and return you to your home. The bus runs on Tuesday through Friday. Jamestown Hospital And Health Services

Symond's Wing located at the Country Health SA Jamestown Hospital & Health Service was redeveloped in 2000 with an extension to add a futher six beds with ensuites to the seven beds which were State funded. In January 2013 the home was accreditated with the Commonwealth for 12 high care beds and one respite bed. 
The home is bounded by a courtyard and sensory garden and is located next to the Jamestown Hospital & Health Service.
The home has strong and historical links with the community and the building was part funded from a generous bequest and also through the active support of the local Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary and the Mid North Health Advisory Committee. We also have an active team of enthusiastic volunteers who support the residents in the home and this includes lifestyle and leisure activities. A team of local pastoral chaplains also provide spiritual support and church services on a fortnightly basis.
