Information, counselling and referral services support clients to access external agencies and organizations, counselling services. DeafBlind - Deaf / Hard of Hearing people with additional needs access mainstream community services, independent living skills traning, and  social, emotional and practical support to Deaf community members residing in aged care facilities or in their own home. See website links for further information available. Please phone for an appointment. The after hours Emergency number is 0417 233 369.   This service operates after hours, on weekends and public holidays. This service is for genuine emergencies only. In the case of Police or Hospital emergencies, interpreting bookings must be made by the agency (not the Deaf person). Deaf community members can access the emergency service by using SMS, or by NRS on 13 36 77.

Deaf Can:Do

Deaf CanDo, Royal South Australian Deaf Society, the State's second oldest charity, provides services and programs which help to equip the Deaf community with the tools, knowledge and confidence they need to live independently while having access to the full range of community services and facilities. Can:Do Hearing is the only not-for-profit audiology clinics in SA -all surplus benefits Deaf Can:Do. Previously Known As Royal South Australian Deaf Society Inc:

Working alongside the NDIS and individual packages of funding support, this program offers individuals living with a disability a range of services which are flexible, tailored and responsive to individual needs. Services include accessing community participation and connectedness, individual goal planning and skills building, assistance with home and personal care, respite, advocacy and education and information support.

The Family Advocate in your area can provide information, training and support - to enable parents and carers to gain effective access to services through lobbying and advocacy, individual advocacy, support group, programs for parents/carers, promote community involvement. Autism SA provides support to individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families through the Spectrum Advisory Services. Eligibility for support is dependent on an individual being registered for services with Autism SA. Advisory services include family workshops, a mentoring program, clinical support, parent support networks, adult social support network and resource centre.
