Dutch Aged Care - Home Care Services

Alwyndor is funded by the Commonwealth Australian Government and we are not-for-profit provider of 'Ageing in Place' Residential Accommodation, Community and Therapy Services located in the seaside suburb of Hove.   The facility provides some 134 permanent residential beds, across all levels of care, dementia and respite care, together with 6 Transitional Care Packages which provide rehabilitation to return home.  Community Services provide over 200 Home Care Packages (HCP) which comprise of Consumer Directed Care (CDC) Level 1 to Level 4 and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) that operate on an outreach basis within the local community. Alwyndor also provides an extensive range of Allied Health and specialised services.  Alwyndor Therapy Services division provides an extensive range of services to our residents and the wider community and includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, social Work, exercise and activity programs, falls prevention, memory support and other specialised care programs and services.
 
Alwyndor provide a number of day to day onsite services including a Café, Hairdressing Salon, Laundry, Library, Transport, Gym, Religious Services, a Men's Shed, Cinema Screen, movies on demand in lounge areas, free wifi & free internet computers and we have a privately owned bus.   The extensive grounds have large gardens including a bbq area and a mini golf green are also available.  At Alwyndor resident wellbeing is paramount and our lively lifestyle team are focused on providing an eventful monthly calendar with something for everyone.
 
Alwyndor has embarked on a major refurbishment and upgrading program that has taken Dorothy's vision and progress it firmly into the 21st century.  The vision remains strong, and the commitment to maintaining her legacy continues, as we move to the next stages of quality care to our elderly community members.

Charles Young Aged Care

Charles Young Residential Care Centre is in southern metropolitan Adelaide (approx 11 kms from the city centre) near the Morphettville racecourse, and a short drive from the Glenelg foreshore and Marion shopping centre. Public transport is only a five minute walk away. 
The site is home to one hundred and fifty seven residents. One hundred and nineteen residents have single rooms and thirty eight have twin share rooms. The large, well-designed bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms.

Residents at Charles Young are encouraged to personalise their rooms, in consultation with staff. Each bed has access to telephone and TV antenna sockets, and an individually controlled air-conditioning unit.

Features of the centre
Scattered throughout the residence are small, thoughtfully furnished lounges and dining areas, and some of these can be booked for private family occasions. The landscaped gardens, including shaded areas, are also enjoyed by residents and

Somerton Aged Care

Overview Somerton Residential Care Centre is located in the mostly residential, seaside suburb of Somerton Park. Approx 12 kms south west of the city centre and a short drive away from the beach and nearby Marion Shopping Centre. Somerton is home to 74 residents who enjoy single and twin-share accommodation. Each bed has access to TV antenna sockets.

The Residential Care Centre occupies one level of the multi-storey building at Somerton Park. 

Lifestyle program
The lifestyle program offers a wide range of single and group activities and outings. The kiosk is a popular meeting place for a coffee and chat and is staffed by the very active committee of volunteers. A hairdresser attends several times a week, and church services are conducted weekly. The site has access to a bus which gives residents access to local community facilities.

Eldercare Oxford

Oxford is one of Eldercare's smaller sites and prides itself on its homely, welcoming atmosphere. It is conveniently co-located with over 30 Eldercare retirement living units.
We have numerous sheltered courtyards including a conservatory-style area in our specialist memory unit. Barbeque facilities and private dining rooms are available for family celebrations.
GPs, podiatrists, physiotherapists, audiologists, speech pathologists and massage therapists all visit regularly to provide comprehensive medical services to our residents. There is also an on-site hairdresser.
Our lifestyle program generates extensive interest from the local community and many people in the area volunteer to assist us in providing these activities.
Oxford is located on Hulbert Street in the beachside suburb of Hove - just a short stroll to the beach at the end of the street. The area has a range of shopping and leisure facilities. Oxford is accessible by bus, tram, road and train.
