Alwyndor Aged Care

Alwyndor is funded by the Commonwealth Australian Government and we are not-for-profit provider of ‘Ageing in Place’ Residential Accommodation, Community and Therapy Services located in the seaside suburb of Hove.   The facility provides some 134 permanent residential beds, across all levels of care, dementia and respite care, together with 6 Transitional Care Packages which provide rehabilitation to return home.  Community Services provide over 200 Home Care Packages (HCP) which comprise of Consumer Directed Care (CDC) Level 1 to Level 4 and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) that operate on an outreach basis within the local community. Alwyndor also provides an extensive range of Allied Health and specialised services.  Alwyndor Therapy Services division provides an extensive range of services to our residents and the wider community and includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, social Work, exercise and activity programs, falls prevention, memory support and other specialised care programs and services.
 
Alwyndor provide a number of day to day onsite services including a Café, Hairdressing Salon, Laundry, Library, Transport, Gym, Religious Services, a Men’s Shed, Cinema Screen, movies on demand in lounge areas, free wifi & free internet computers and we have a privately owned bus.   The extensive grounds have large gardens including a bbq area and a mini golf green are also available.  At Alwyndor resident wellbeing is paramount and our lively lifestyle team are focused on providing an eventful monthly calendar with something for everyone.
 
Alwyndor has embarked on a major refurbishment and upgrading program that has taken Dorothy’s vision and progress it firmly into the 21st century.  The vision remains strong, and the commitment to maintaining her legacy continues, as we move to the next stages of quality care to our elderly community members.

Southern Cross Care Oaklands Park Lodge

Oaklands Park Lodge has 70 individual rooms, all with spacious ensuites, built-in wardrobes and reverse cycle air-conditioning.
Residents enjoy chef-cooked meals, prepared on site, which cater for special dietary requirements.
Close to the Marion Shopping Centre Brighton and Glenelg beaches.
The lounge and outdoor garden areas provide comfortable spaces to relax, or socialise with family and friends. A private dining room is also available for small family gatherings.
Care: Our team of qualified staff provide care to suit the level and complexity of individual needs.
Lifestyle: We offer a broad lifestyle program designed to accommodate individual needs.
Southern Cross Care’s whole-person approach means that we also cater to the spiritual needs of our communities. The chapel caters to all faiths and denominations.
Pastoral care staff are also available to provide counselling and social support to our residents and families.

Southern Cross Care Oaklands Park Lodge Residential Care

Somerton Aged Care

Overview Somerton Residential Care Centre is located in the mostly residential, seaside suburb of Somerton Park. Approx 12 kms south west of the city centre and a short drive away from the beach and nearby Marion Shopping Centre. Somerton is home to 74 residents who enjoy single and twin-share accommodation. Each bed has access to TV antenna sockets.

Features of the centre
The Residential Care Centre occupies one level of the multi-storey building at Somerton Park. 

Lifestyle program
The lifestyle program offers a wide range of single and group activities and outings. The kiosk is a popular meeting place for a coffee and chat and is staffed by the very active committee of volunteers. A hairdresser attends several times a week, and church services are conducted weekly. The site has access to a bus which gives residents access to local community facilities.

Brighton Aged Care

Be welcomed with open arms at Brighton Aged Care, located in the coastal suburbs of Adelaide. Our friendly staff will make you feel at home right away in our family orientated residence.
We offer 76 places managed by qualified, registered nurses and well-trained care staff. Residents can enjoy a selection of single rooms with ensuite and twin share accommodation. This arrangement provides companionship and is perfect for couples that would like to live together while receiving the benefits of 24 hour care.


Oaklands Residential Care Facility

Oaklands is an 88 bed Extra Service Facility offering permanent and respite care. 

Located in the southern suburbs of Oaklands Park convienient to Marion Shopping Centre and the new Oaklands Park interchange.

Accommodation offered is in spacious single rooms with quality décor throughout.

There are seven separate lounge areas catering for large groups and smaller intimate gatherings.


A spa room, Internet Cafe, hairdressing salon and welcoming, well appointed outdoor areas are features of the facility.

Services offered include an extensive a la carte menu and a diverse activity program run seven days a week.

Physiotherapy, podiatry, aromatherapy and reflexology are also provided.
