Kalparrin is a Day Centre that provides care for people living with moderate to severe dementia in a secure and friendly environment. Clients are supervised at all times and can be assisted with any activities or personal tasks. Kalparrin provides a high level of care complemented by an activity program with a focus on socialisation and maintenance of daily living skills. Transport to the centre and morning tea and lunch are provided. Those eligible for Kalparrin are the frail, older person who: • Is aged 65 years and over (or 50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) and has moderate to severe dementia (diagnosed) • Has difficulty performing activities of daily living without help due to functional limitations • Lives in the community • Referred & screened as eligible by MyAgedCare • Is a resident of the Ashfield, Burwood Canada Bay or Strathfield Local Government Areas.
The physical location of the day centre is Concord.

The centre provides services to seniors from Chinese backgrounds on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Provides centre based day and respite care services to people living with dementia from South Asian backgrounds in the Inner West region of Sydney and surrounding areas.

ANHF So Wai Lifestyle Activity Centre

So Wai Lifestyle Activity Centre provides high quality culturally appropriate respite day care in a safe, secure and home-like environment for providing respite services for elderly with dementia and their carers with Chinese and Vietnamese cultural background. The service is funded by Australian Government Department of Social Services, under the Commonwealth Home Support Program. Transport is provided within 10 Km from the centre.
Chinese Group: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm; Saturday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Vietnamese Group: Thursday, 10:00am – 3:00pm
