Bridges Friday Night Respite Service

Provides services for people with disabilities and their families. Vacation programs for children with disabilities. In-home accommodation support, learning and life skills development, flexible respite. Volunteers are welcome.

Bayside Cottage

Bayside Cottage provides the opportunity for carers of a person 65years and over who is frail with age and/or living with dementia, to enjoy a short break from their caring role with complete peace of mind. At Bayside Cottage our approach is always respectful and gentle; looking beyond the symptoms of illness and age to honour the person within. Situated on 2 acre Bayside Cottage is a unique home like environment offering 24 hour per day specialised care for people who are frail with age and/or have dementia. Nutritious home cooked meals are prepared on the premises and great care is taken with activities, decor and the general environment to encourage positive sensory experiences and engagement of varying levels of residual memory. A maximum of 5 guests per stay ensures that the Bayside Cottage experience is tailored to individual needs.

Centre-Based Respite – short term overnight accommodation for people with disabilities aged between 17 and 55 years old. This service is funded by Disability Services and operates at a house on Old Cleveland Road, Chandler
