This Adelaide office is the hub for low vision services, adaptive technology centre, employment services and volunteer services. 

The RSB provides a range of services including independent living skills, orientation and mobility training, counselling relating to sight loss, low vision daily aids and adaptive technology, volunteer assistance, low vision support groups and recreational and leisure activities to RSB clients. 

To be eligible to become an RSB client, a referral  is required from ophthalmologist for assessment at the Low Vision Centre.

The RSB is a not-for-profit organisation providing services to South Australians who have a severe vision impairment. These services are delivered by a professional, committed and highly qualified team supported by volunteers, drawn from all age groups and walks of life. The RSB Community Education program has a team of educators who deliver presentations about common causes of vision loss and the messages around prevention, early detection and treatment, The RSB and its services, how to assist someone who is blind or vision impaired, how your workplace can improve services and its environment for people who are blind or vision impaired. The program will endeavour to meet all requests where possible. We ask that you allow at least 45 minutes for the presentation and four weeks is the preferred notice period required to book in a presentation.

Volunteer Services that directly assist clients of the RSB including transport, visiting, correspondence, shopping, recreation and leisure, community support groups. RSB support  includes guide dog puppy educators and boarders, fundraising, factory canteen, audio services, reception and clerical support. However you will be required to undertake a Police Check and complete training relevant to your chosen role. Requests for volunteer services are generally made by clients themselves or by family members, friends or another organisation (with the individual's consent) and other RSB staff.

Information is provided with regard to the range of services available from the RSB, and other service providers including pensions, concessions, eye conditions, adaptive equipment, and support programs. The RSB offers a personalised service to fulfil the recreational and leisure needs of clients at home or in community based activities. This includes integration into mainstream recreation and leisure activities, or activities specifically for people who are blind or vision impaired. Assistance can be provided with lighting, magnification, adapted equipment, and volunteer support, which will enable clients to enjoy fulfilling hobbies or pastimes. The RSB Talking Book Library service is a home based service, that is accessed via the postal service. The RSB Digital Library Service is available via broadband internet, or via selected Public Libraries. The Print Alternatives library service provides a large range of talking books, or books in Braille. Books cover a wide range of recreational, non-fiction and religious reading. Some magazines are also available in audio format.
