Additional information
Clients following a heart attack or heart surgery are either seen on an individual basis or join the cardiac rehabilitation program. The program is run by health professionals including a physiotherapist, nurse, social worker, occupational therapist and dietitian. The aim is to understand heart disease, the causes and how to improve heart health using strategies such as exercise, diet, stress management and relaxation, and to support clients returning to pre-injury activities including work.
