The Gender Centre has been providing services to the transgender & gender diverse communities since the1980’s. Throughout this time The Gender Centre has been providing direct client support and referrals to thousands of transgender people each year as well as providing a wide range of services and support to transgender people incarcerated in NSW correctional centre’s  services provided by the centre include

•	Outreach to clients confined to their homes or in hospitals,
•	Night Outreach to street based Transgender sex workers, 
•	Gaol Outreach to transgender people incarcerated in NSW correctional facilities,
•	Court and Cell Outreach,
•	Community Case management,
•	Crisis Residential housing, 
•	Transitional housing, 
•	Support group for the Over 55’s, 
•	Advocacy,
•	Transgender Anti-Violence Project, 
•	Tenancy Support, 
•	Training and Education for service providers,
•	Support to transgender people in Rural and Regional areas,
•	Transtopia Youth Group,
•	Parents of Transgender children group,
•	Male to Female group,
•	Female to Male group,
•	Queer Agenda group,
•	Young Women’s group,
•	Women’s group and
•	HIV/AIDS information.
