Service Restriction: referral must be from GP Assessment Process
A specialist multi-disciplinary team, which may include a geriatrician and neuropsychologist, provide diagnostic, referral and educational services for people experiencing memory loss or changes in the ways that they think. Early diagnosis assists in determining appropriate treatment needs and planning as well as enabling people to learn about their condition, how to cope with cognitive impairment and to understand and respond to changes as they occur.
