The Medical Entomology Unit undertakes mosquito surveillance and environmental management of disease carrying and other nuisance insects. Medical Entomology (ME) reduces the impact of biting insects through mosquito borne disease awareness, surveillance and control programs, provision of advice on biting insects, provision of advice in relation to new land developments, a public inquiry service, and incidental research.
