Transitional Housing Services work to secure and sustain affordable long term housing for homeless people. This is achieved through Initial Assessment and Planning, Tenancy Administration and Family Violence Private Rental Brokerage Program
Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) explores your current housing situation, together with options to secure affordable long term housing.
The IAP process seeks to resolve the immediate housing needs of homeless people in the first instance, and then put in place support and links that will assist in providing people the means to both secure and sustain long term housing.
This is a confidential and non-judgemental process.
The IAP Worker works with people to secure affordable long-term housing. The worker can assist with housing information and advice, referral to agencies for help with support issues,
access to financial assistance to obtain or maintain housing and assistance to obtain access to transitional, public or private rental.
The Transitional Housing Program provides furnished short-term housing for people experiencing homelessness. While in this housing you will be working towards a long term housing outcome, whether it be in private rental or public housing.
Rural Housing Network Limited will match the needs of people with the most appropriate available housing.
The program informs you of your rights and responsibilities to enable you to sustain a long term tenancy.
The Tenancy Administrator manages transitional housing tenancies and can assist with tenancy sign-up, rental payments, property maintenance and repairs, furnishing the property, information on sustaining your housing
and a rental reference at the end of the tenancy.
