The Community Therapy Service provides comprehensive, time limited rehabilitation tailored to meet the needs of individual clients and carers. Specialised treatment is offered in the following areas:
-- Aged Care
-- Amputee
-- Musculoskeletal
-- Neurology
-- Pain Management
-- Rheumatology
-- Vestibular
Clients are managed by a multidisciplinary team; the following disciplines may be offered:
-- Clinical Psychology
-- Dietetics
-- Exercise Physiology
-- Neuropsychology
-- Nursing
-- Occupational Therapy
-- Physiotherapy
-- Prosthetics
-- Recreational Therapy
-- Social work
-- Speech Pathology
Aims:
Community Therapy Service routinely provides interpreting services for clients from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
-- To engage clients in goal directed specialised rehabilitation.
-- To facilitate transition to maximal functioning back in the community.
-- To promote and support self-management of chronic conditions.
-- Where appropriate, provide carer education to facilitate clients remaining safely in their own home.
Fees:
No charge for rehabilitation services.
Limited taxi transport available for clients assessed as having a need – contribution of $7 per return journey for taxi transport (Aged and Neurology Streams only).
