EatPlayThrive- EatPlayThrive is a preventative program that assists parents and carers of children aged 1-12 years in creating a healthier lifestyle for their family. The program consists of three 2.5 hour workshops conducted over a three week period. Each parent will also receive a follow-up phone call 2-3 weeks after the final workshop. Workshops will cover topics such as the importance of healthy eating and regular activity for child development, how to identify healthy foods, practical meal solutions on a budget, how to avoid family mealtime conflicts, how to incorporate movement into daily life and much more. The final workshop will conclude with parents cooking a healthy meal together, using skills learned over the program's duration. EatPlayThrive is free for all participants.
