Mount Isa Special School provides educational programs and services for students of primary through to secondary age (that is approximately 6-18yrs) who have special educational needs in the form of a recognized intellectual impairment along with other impairments such as physical, visual, hearing and ASD. The school caters for students with disabilities and is coded as a primary and secondary school providing for students with intellectual disability, autistic spectrum disorder and/or multiple disabilities. A Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and specialists in vision and hearing provide additional support.
