Home Care Services Ballarat
Home Care Services Ballarat provides in home support to frail aged people and people with disabilities who wish to remain in their own homes but require assistance to maintain their independence. Support of Carers is a vital component of Home Care Services. Home Care Services Ballarat is committed to providing flexible high quality services which appropriately meet the needs of eligible clients and their Carers.
Respite Care
Respite care provides an opportunity for carers to have a break from their caring responsibilities
This may be regular or occasional breaks during the day/evening or some occasional overnight care.
Employment\Volunteer Work
The service is not available to provide care while the usual carer undertakes paid employment or unpaid volunteer work.
Fees
Fees are charged for all services, usually based on a sliding scale according to income. No one will be denied a necessary service because of an inability to pay. Council usually sets the fees schedule annually and current rates for services are availble on request.
Charges for the service are assessed according to the income of a household. For eligible consumers, a subsidised flat rate may apply.
Travel Surcharge
There is a surcharge per km in additionto the hourly Home Care rate, if the service provided includes the provision of transport, either taking a client shopping, to appointments, or when the Home Carer travels to do these tasks for the client.
