Caring for someone you love is the greatest gift you can give. Sometimes you need to give the gift of care to yourself.  Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc. has several options to support carers if they need a break from their caring duties.  Our Respite Program offers busy or working carers assistance in the management of appointments and other tasks that would normally require them to take time off work or their other commitments.  We have three Perth Metropolitan respite centres which provide day and overnight respite in a warm and welcoming home like environment, with meaningful activities and dementia specific programs.  In addition, we also offer respite services in the own home.  These services can be subsidised by the Commonwealth Home Support Program.  We also welcome privately paying individuals and those on Home Care Packages. Our dementia team will provide support and guidance to carers and the person living with dementia to ensure you both can enjoy an improved quality of life.
