This program guides, supports and assists recovery from a cardiac event or procedure. It offers information about managing heart problems and addressing lifestyle risk factors to minimise the risk of future heart problems. The WDHS outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation program is available to any person with cardiovscular disease, including: AMI, Coronary stenting, heart surgery, angina or other cardiac condition. Participants attend for a 9-week period, commencing soon after discharge from hospital. A pre-program assessment is conducted prior to commencement and participants are assessed again at program exit.
