Autism Queensland’s purpose-built Centre of Excellence Far North Queensland is located in Edmonton and is the region’s only specialist Autism Early Intervention Centre. Members of our transdisciplinary team deliver services to children and adults with a diagnosis of Autism living in Cairns, Atherton, Innisfail, Weipa and surrounding areas. This team includes teachers, speech pathologist, occupational therapist and teacher aides.
The following services are delivered by staff at our Cairns centre: Allied Health and Assessment Services; Autism Advisor Program; Early Childhood Early Intervention; Group Programs and Individual Therapy for school aged children and adolescents; Respite; School Advisory Visits; Secret Agent Society (SAS) Social Skills Program.
