JobCo opened in 1994 to assist people with mental health issues to gain worthwhile employment in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. It now assist people across Melbourne from the Mornington Peninsula to Geelong. It is a community-based not-for-profit organisation and takes a person-centered recovery-focused approach which values carers are the crucial role they have. Services include: Carer counselling and support, Disability Employment Support, Indigenous mentoring and employment support, Personal Helpers and Mentors Scheme and Vocational education for carers.
