Volunteer Programs assist senior members of the community and people with varying abilities to live independently in their own homes.
These programs link clients with volunteers who visit people in the home. It is an individual service
designed to encourage companionship by:
• Fostering friendships
• Providing social contact and access to community groups
• Offering social activities in a group setting
• Providing emotional support and respite to carers
• Delivering meals and monitoring recipients (Meals on Wheels)
