The Child Protection Service (CPS) team at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) has specialist expertise in psychosocial and medical assessments, and longer term interventions in the areas of child abuse and neglect. The team consists of clinical psychologists, social workers, doctors, research and administrative staff. See website link for further information available: EntryProcedures A CPS clinician is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to discuss with other professionals and parents/caregivers any concerns they have about physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological maltreatment or neglect. Referrals can be made by Families SA, the police or other health care professionals within or beyond FMC.
