Additional information
Torrens House is a residential unit for families with babies aged from birth up to 12 months who require additional assistance with feeding, settling and sleeping issues. Care is provided by nursing staff, part-time medical officers, a mental health nurse and social worker. See website links for further information: EntryProcedures Referral is required from a child health nurse. Attendance at a Day Service Clinic (either 1/2 or full day) is preferred before referral to Torrens House where possible. Often issues can be resolved by attending a Day Service Clinic. If still necessary, your Child and Family Health Service nurse will forward your referral to Torrens House and will keep in touch with you before and after your admission
