Metropolitan Youth Health, provides clinical health services to young people in our community aged 12 – 25 with a focus on young people under 18 years.
Our services are tailored to young people who are: -currently or previously under the Guardianship of the Minister -Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander -young pregnant and/or parenting women and their partners -refugees -not able to live at home -same sex attracted and/or gender diverse -currently at the Adelaide Youth Training Centre -struggling to understand and/or attend to their health issues.
We support these young people to manage their own health care in the future.
Interpreters can be arranged if necessary. Let us know your language and if there are gender requirements.
Doctors and nurses at MYH provide free and confidential services such as general health needs, sexually transmitted infection testing, sexual health needs, mental health assessment and referral, immunisation, contraceptives advice and prescriptions, health screening tests.
MYH is linked in with and can refer clients to the Talking Realities Young Pregnant and parenting program.
