Carers Support Program is an aged care support service which provides the carers of people 65 years or older, with planned social or recreational activities which enables them to have time out or a break from their caring role.
Supportive workers are available to assist the carer to pursue interests or activities. Recreational outings can be arranged in consultation with the carer, but without the worry.
Workers are able to assist in linking carers with local support services and support groups in their community.

Minimal fee applies dependent upon activity.

A service for eople unable to use private or public transport to meet their basic needs, and who require extra assistance, or may have limited mobility due to disability.
All drivers are volunteers who are registered and trained and have a sincere interest in the welfare of people.
This service is not available for inter-hospital transfers, unsuitable public transport timetables, reimbursement of family members or ongoing long term transport requests unless at the Coordinators discretion.

Ararat Uniting care can create a special friendship between lonely older people and caring volunteers. Each volunteer visits one special older person on a regular basis. Some of the activities can include shopping, lunch, social visits or other activities, by mutual arrangement.
