Maternal and Child Health services offer information, guidance and support to families with young children on issues that include:
breastfeeding,
maternal health,
child growth and development,
parent/child relationships,
nutrition,
child accident and injury prevention,
home and car safety,
immunisation,
family planning,
links to other support services and resources,
referral to allied health professionals, and
vision and hearing screening tests.
All Maternal and Child Health nurses are registered nurses who have specialised in midwifery and Maternal and Child Health.
They have extensive experience in family health issues.
