Sleep Health Foundation

The Sleep Health Foundation (SHF) is a community-facing health promotion charity that aims to raise community awareness about the value of sleep, how to improve it and address common sleep disorders. Our work seeks to enhance Australian’s everyday lives, to improve the nation’s health, safety and productivity.

The Sleep Health Foundation connects all the key stakeholders in the sleep 'eco-system', ranging from government, industry, academia, consumers and clinicians. Aiming to get better sleep should be a priority for all Australians.

  • Information, education and health promotion: Providing evidence-based community education tools and materials to promote sleep health, including Fact Sheets, webinars and articles.
  • Political and community advocacy: Providing strong advocacy to help meet the sleep health needs of the community and people with sleep disorders.
  • Setting standards and supporting the consumer: Encouraging evidence-based sleep health treatments and patient-focused services and outcomes.
  • Research: Facilitating and disseminating sleep research to help inform better policy level outcomes and tips for individuals.
